National Dental Hygiene Month Idaho

October Is National Dental Hygiene Month

The American Dental Association recommends you visit your Dental Hygienist and Dentist for a cleaning and thorough oral exam twice a year.  With October being National Dental Hygiene month, it’s a good reminder to make an appointment to have a regular check up and cleaning if it’s been 6 months or more since your last one.  Your Dental Hygienist can inform you about oral conditions that can affect your mouth and even your overall health.  Bacterial infections of the mouth can easily spread through the body and contribute to other health problems.  Prevention is key to keeping your mouth feeling healthy. We like to keep our patients well informed on products and techniques to prevent future problems from happening.  Our practice is always happy to answer any questions you might have at any time!

The American Dental Hygiene Association has joined with Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company, the makers of Orbit gum, to raise awareness of keeping your mouth healthy.  Their theme is “It’s simple. Healthy habits for a healthy smile”.  There are four simple words for prevention and keeping your mouth healthy and happy!
